W3C Standards

We make sure that all our designs follow web standards set by W3C for both XHTML and CSS. We also follow the guidelines to make sure all designs are meeting the web standards for accessibility.

Integral Net Systems code is based on W3C XHTML 1.0 standard which gets validated by the World Wide Web Consortium Markup Validation Service, http://validator.w3.org/.

For presentation and layout of pages, CSS, Cascading Style Sheets, is used. This CSS code also gets validated by the W3C CSS Validation Service, http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/.

Free Domain Name

In order to put web pages online, a URL (Universal Resource Locator) is required for each page. The URL is used as an address for the visitors to get to your web page online.

A domain name is an address in the web host server that makes this allocation possible.

We provide our clients with free UK domain name of their choice, for example Integral Net Systems selected integralnet.co.uk as their domain name.

We also register the domain name for our clients and if required submit them to main search engines.

Free Web Hosting

In order to put web pages online, a host machine is required to keep the required files and databases. These files include the web pages, images, utilities and database connection files.

The host will guarantee to keep your data safe by having regular backups and up to date virus checkers, firewalls and spyware protections.

We offer our clients one year free web hosting. We use reliable and tested third party hosts that guarantee 99.9% uptime.

Free Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

There is more to a website than a pretty layout. Websites have to adhere to standards that make them search engine friendly too.

Integral Net Systems includes this service with every website project as standard. There is no point of having a website if your potential visitors cannot find you by entering the relevant keywords or phrases on say search engines such as Google.

As standard we include "Title" for each page, a relevant header, and Meta tags for "keywords" and "description".

When search engine robots surf the pages on the internet, the above information gets updated in their index directory, which will be used to bring the page back when a visitor searches for those words, or phrases.

We also submit your site manually to top five search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN on request.

Dynamic Websites

Websites are categorized as Static and Dynamic. A static site is a site that doesn't need frequent update or change of information. This could be a portal for information that are approved and made available on the internet for users.

On the other hand a dynamic site, is a site that requires frequent updates or amendments of information. This could be an online shop or a frequent news update site.

The information that is displayed on a dynamic website gets populated by the data that is stored in a backend database. So to update a page, only data in the database has to get updated.

Because a dynamic website works to the data in a database, the options of searching and archiving the past data easily becomes available.

We use MySQL database to store the data. This data gets populated to the web pages by suing a server side programming language called PHP.

We use the WAMP5 package from http://www.wampserver.com/en/ which is an open source software bundle to include, Apache, MySQL and PHP.

Contents Management

Contents Management is a way of getting you to be in charge of your website contents.

Once you have a website you may like to update the text contents of the site on regular basis, for example change a bit of a text or add a few lines of more information.

With a Contents Management system in place, you get a login name and a URL, so you can update and amend your contents when and as needed as many times as you want at any time of the day or night.

If you also have a dynamic website, new contents could be saved into the database and displayed on your pages automatically. For example if you have a photo album site, any new photos that you add could automatically be displayed on the site.

Having a Contents Management in place is a great way of saving yourself the time and the effort it takes to contact your web design provider to do the changes for you. It is also a lot quicker and obviously once in place, it is free to use at any time.
